School Outreach

“it was amazing getting to meet everyone and hearing the stories I heard. It was a beautiful experience seeing the kids at recess and at kids club and praying for the addicts on the street.”

~Leah G. (One Life)

Our partnership with Francis E. Willard Elementary School is all about being a consistent, supportive presence for the children and staff of Kensington. From the quiet corners of the library to the high energy of the playground, Productive Lives volunteers help create a nurturing environment where students can thrive. You might find yourself assisting in the library—much like our long-time volunteer, Susan Bartholomew—helping children discover a love for reading, or facilitating games during the recess program to ensure every child feels included. We also go above and beyond to support the educators through initiatives like Teacher Appreciation Week, providing snacks, encouragement, and a helping hand to those who pour so much into our community’s youth.
